Race Day Setup

Most obvious for some is changing out the leather Brooks England saddle and bar tape for a more practical Specialized Comp Pro saddle and Burgh Cycling X-Stealth bar tape.

Under that saddle is my trusty Velo Colour Rocket Pocket for road side puncture independence. I’ve opted to change out the deep section aero CIRCA Carbon 45’s w/CK R45’s and save them for summer roadish duty. I

n place our Carbon 35 FW-Filament Wound) at 21mm internal 24/24 Sapims Pokes #cxrays will take over. 35’ have always been my go to for #allroadbike #adventures.

Starting the season off with Challenge tires Getaway TLR 40mm….yyaaaa a bit wide for my liking for races as I’m always looking for speed and fast rolling advantages whenever I can. Surprisingly fast-rolling tyres with oodles of grip and pretty comfy for some upcoming near 100km events and training sessions.

Stopping this package(me)…we are testing out Kogel Canada brake pads, along with a tried and approved KOGEL ceramic bottom bracket. Elite Cycling T-Race bottle cages lightweight and easy access from side release as well…might come in handy with bags later in the season. Tuned with Shimano Road chain, and Ultegra 11-30 cassette the rest is up to me.
